Many, many people spent a summer or two at Sylvan Acres back at the old C.L.E.C. in Cowichan Lake. A few of us thought it would be great to get together and have a reunion being as it has been 10 years since we last had camp at the C.L.E.C. The reunion is planned for JULY 11-13 2008 at Camp Columbia on Thetis Island. Anyone who was staff at any point during the 90's is invited to come and bring their families to share in a wonderful time of reflection and fun!

- Sylvan Camp Committee moved from May 10 at Youbou to - The 2008 VIA Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Western Community Baptist Church (now known by a new name, The Forge) @ 2612 Sooke Road in Victoria. The meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. - Sylvan Camp Committee Saturday June 7 10:00am at Youbou is scheduled. Submitted by - Wayne Cooper

April Greetings to everyone! This meeting location notice is for the Sylvan Acres Camp Committee Meeting we had called for to occur in April We are asking those who are the Camp Reps of the Island Churches if they can attend. Pastor Craig and Pastor Mike have asked if the meeting could move to Sunday afternoon as they have commitments on Saturday. I have the meeting now settled in for Sunday, April 6, 2:30pm at Sylvan Camp, Youbou Site. Length approx. 2 hours. It will be great to meet all of you who can be there and be on the site too. Agenda Items: 1) This Summers Camp schedule (4 camps so far, and discussions on 2 others ). 2) Summer2008 Staff outline (Program Manager, Leaders, Cooks, etc.) 3) continue discussion on Publicity (Churches, Newspaper, Our Website, other?) Also other news: Next Work Day at Camp There will be a Work Party 9-5 at the Sylvan camp site on Saturday, April 19, 2008.
